Kenya’s ICT Authority and Oracle Expand Partnership to Boost AI, Cloud, and Digital Skills
According to the ICT Authority, the engagement reaffirmed a shared commitment to developing a digitally skilled workforce while accelerating the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and improve public service delivery across Kenya.
Kenya’s ICT Authority and Oracle Corporation are exploring deeper collaboration to support the country’s digital transformation agenda, with a focus on digital skills development, artificial intelligence, cloud adoption and public sector modernization.
The discussions took place during a courtesy visit by an Oracle delegation to the ICT Authority headquarters, where ICT Authority Chief Executive Officer Jessy Maruti hosted the team led by Amr Elguindi, Oracle’s Vice President for Services, Middle East and Africa.
The Oracle delegation also included Hesham Fouad, Director of Services for Africa, and Arnold Ogola, Oracle Kenya Country Leader. They met with ICT Authority officials to identify areas of collaboration aimed at accelerating digital transformation across government.
Key areas of discussion included expanding digital skills development and certification in emerging technologies, leveraging artificial intelligence to improve productivity in the public sector, and advancing automation and cloud migration across government institutions.
Also present at the meeting were Michael Odhiambo, ICT Authority Director for Shared Services, and Lynette Ringera, Acting Director for Partnerships, Innovation and Capacity Development.
