NTT DATA and Google Cloud have expanded their strategic partnership to help organisations move beyond experimental AI projects and deploy intelligent AI agents at enterprise scale.
The collaboration is centred on enabling businesses to integrate agent-based artificial intelligence into everyday operations, helping organisations modernise workflows, improve decision-making, and transform customer and employee experiences. By combining Google Cloud’s AI infrastructure with NTT DATA’s consulting, engineering, and industry expertise, the companies aim to support enterprises throughout the entire AI adoption journey.
As part of the initiative, NTT DATA is launching a dedicated global practice focused on Gemini Enterprise solutions. The programme will be supported by specialised training, technical resources, certification programmes, and joint investment efforts designed to strengthen AI delivery capabilities worldwide. The company plans to develop a global network of 5,000 certified Gemini specialists.
A major focus of the partnership is the creation of reusable AI solutions that can be adapted across industries. The organisations have outlined plans to jointly develop hundreds of AI agents capable of supporting business functions across sectors such as financial services, manufacturing, retail, insurance, and technology operations. These solutions are expected to help enterprises deploy AI more quickly while reducing implementation complexity.
The expanded alliance will also bring together multidisciplinary teams of engineers, AI specialists, and industry experts who will work directly with clients to design, deploy, and optimise AI-driven solutions. This hands-on approach is intended to accelerate implementation timelines and improve the transition from proof of concept projects to production environments.
In addition to supporting business process transformation, the collaboration will focus on areas such as cloud modernisation, software development, procurement, marketing optimisation, and financial operations. The partners also emphasised the importance of secure and compliant AI deployments, particularly for organisations operating under strict regulatory and data governance requirements.
According to Abhijit Dubey, many organisations are seeking practical approaches to scaling AI while maintaining governance and generating measurable business outcomes. He noted that the partnership is designed to help enterprises integrate AI more effectively into core business functions.
Matt Renner highlighted the growing demand for AI agents capable of reshaping enterprise operations. He stated that combining Google Cloud’s AI capabilities with NTT DATA’s global delivery expertise will provide organisations with the resources needed to deploy advanced AI solutions more efficiently.
The announcement comes as enterprises continue to increase investment in cloud infrastructure to support artificial intelligence initiatives. NTT DATA noted that while many organisations recognise AI’s strategic importance, challenges related to infrastructure readiness, governance, workforce skills, and deployment planning continue to slow large-scale adoption. The expanded collaboration aims to help bridge these gaps by providing both the technology foundation and operational expertise required for long-term AI success.
