Prowess University, Delaware, United States, has conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Humane Letters in Digital Technology and Innovation (Honoris Causa) on Nigerian digital innovation professional Seun Paul Olatunji.
The conferment took place on 27th March 2024 in Kampala, Uganda, during an international academic event attended by professionals and thought leaders from different regions.
The university said the recognition was based on Olatunji’s measurable contributions to digital innovation, media development and youth-focused technology initiatives, particularly his role in building platforms that address critical social and developmental needs.
Olatunji is the founder of MediAid Plus, a digital health technology platform aimed at improving access to healthcare information and services, and Efiko NG, an EdTech platform focused on youth development, digital skills training and structured mentorship, which has supported over 1,500 young people.
Reacting to the honour, Olatunji said, “This recognition reflects the collective effort behind using technology as a tool for impact. It strengthens my commitment to building solutions that create access, opportunity and long-term value for society.”
He added, “Innovation should be measured by its usefulness to people. This honour reinforces my responsibility to continue contributing meaningfully to the digital ecosystem.”
