Huawei Cloud and Thndr Partner to Strengthen AI Powered Fintech Development in Egypt

Huawei Cloud has entered into a strategic collaboration with Thndr to advance artificial intelligence adoption and cloud-driven transformation within Egypt’s financial services sector.

The agreement was formalised during the Huawei Cloud Fintech Summit 2026, where senior leaders from both organisations outlined plans to jointly explore new applications of cloud computing, secure infrastructure, and AI technologies aimed at improving digital investment services.

The partnership is designed to support the development of more efficient and intelligent financial platforms by combining Huawei Cloud’s infrastructure capabilities with Thndr’s experience in building user-focused investment products. The focus areas include improving system performance, strengthening operational resilience, and enhancing the overall user experience for digital investors.

Huawei Cloud noted that its Egypt cloud region, launched in 2024, has already supported growing demand from financial technology companies seeking scalable and secure environments for digital services. The company highlighted its continued investment in cloud architecture that integrates computing, storage, and networking systems to support enterprise-scale workloads.

The collaboration also includes the use of advanced AI tools designed for financial services. These tools are intended to help institutions develop smarter automation systems, improve decision-making processes, and support the rollout of more adaptive digital financial products.

Jo Xu stated that the partnership builds on early momentum in Egypt’s fintech ecosystem, emphasising the importance of combining cloud infrastructure with AI capabilities to enable the next stage of digital financial services.

Ahmad Hammouda explained that expanding access to investment opportunities requires strong and reliable technology foundations capable of supporting scale, security, and ease of use for a growing user base.

Huawei Cloud also highlighted its compliance alignment with national regulatory frameworks in Egypt, including requirements for data sovereignty and financial sector governance. This ensures that sensitive financial data remains within approved local infrastructure environments while supporting innovation in digital services.

The partnership reflects broader efforts to accelerate the growth of Egypt’s digital economy by enabling closer integration between cloud infrastructure providers and fintech platforms. Both organisations aim to contribute to a more efficient, secure, and innovation-driven financial ecosystem supported by artificial intelligence and modern cloud technologies.
