The Nigerian technology ecosystem is celebrating a new wave of innovators and digital leaders following the prestigious Titans of Tech Awards (TOT) 2023 ceremony, where five remarkable individuals were honored with Merit Awards on May 29th, 2023. These recipients were recognized for their groundbreaking work driving digital transformation across critical sectors, including enterprise solutions, healthtech, real estate, education, and mobility focused fintech.
The awards serve as a powerful testament to the depth of talent and innovation flourishing in the Nigerian tech landscape, showcasing how technology is being leveraged to solve complex challenges, empower communities, and create economic value in emerging markets.
Collectively, these visionary awardees have mentored thousands of mentees across the African continent, inspiring a new generation of digital thinkers, problem solvers, and entrepreneurs.
The honorees and their pioneering contributions include:
• Ifeoluwa Opeyemi Oladejo, who received the Digital Enterprise Solutions Visionary Award, was honored for creating HTreasure Technology, a powerful SaaS platform offering accounting, staff management, project oversight, and marketing tools to empower businesses to operate, scale, and thrive digitally. His work provides a crucial digital toolkit for small and medium-sized businesses, essential for formalising and scaling operations.
• Chidozie Felicitas Chiamaka, the recipient of the Women in HealthTech Leadership Award, was celebrated as a pioneering founder reshaping health technology through HealthSyn Nigeria. She was recognized for building impactful partnerships, empowering medical professionals, and advocating for inclusive policies that inspire women entrepreneurs and advance gender equity. Her leadership highlights the growing importance of HealthTech in improving healthcare delivery and policy.
• Ayoola Adetutu Oniyinde earned the Real Estate Digital Technology Trailblazer Award. She was recognized for revolutionising property and medical technology with Cadastra360 and MediTrust, digitising land verification and healthcare. This innovation enables billions in secure transactions and demonstrates how technology protects investments and drives economic growth in emerging markets.
• Seun Paul Olatunji was named the Digital Innovation Trailblazer of the Year. He was awarded for pioneering transformative digital solutions that advance civic engagement through WeVoteYou, an online voting innovation, and expanding access to knowledge via EFIKO NG, a technology driven educational platform. His innovations are shaping a smarter, more connected future for Africa, with solutions focused on good governance, education, and civic participation that leverage technology to strengthen democratic processes and widen access to learning.
• Tope Omikunle, who took home the Mobility Fintech Pioneer Award, was recognized for transforming levy payments with LevyPal, a platform enabling drivers to pay once and drive freely. His work merges fintech with mobility to enhance convenience, ensure compliance, and simplify transport operations addressing a major pain point in the transport sector.
