Kashy Tunisie Telecom represents a major step in Tunisia’s digital finance evolution. As part of its commitment to digital transformation and alignment with global Fintech strategies that integrate technology and finance, Tunisie Telecom has officially launched Kashy, its innovative mobile payment application.
This launch stems from a strategic partnership with Viamobile, the first payment institution approved by the Central Bank of Tunisia in April 2021. The official ceremony took place on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, with key attendees including the Minister of Communication Technologies, Mr. Sofiene Hemissi, the Chairman and CEO of Tunisie Telecom, Mr. Lassâad Ben Dhiab, and representatives from both partner organizations.
Kashy Tunisie Telecom functions as a comprehensive digital wallet, providing users with access to a full suite of electronic payment services. The application will roll out progressively across approximately thirty Tunisie Telecom commercial spaces nationwide, ensuring broad accessibility for customers throughout the country.
Users benefit from essential digital financial services through Kashy Tunisie Telecom, such as instant money transfers, cash withdrawals, e-wallet funding, and seamless cash outs directly via mobile phones. Built to address modern digital habits, the app delivers a simple, rapid, and highly secure experience by using the mobile phone number as the sole unique identifier, eliminating the need for complex setups.
With the introduction of Kashy Tunisie Telecom, the operator reinforces its central role in advancing the country’s digital transformation and supporting the national decashing strategy. This move expands its activities beyond traditional connectivity services, positioning Tunisie Telecom as a full-fledged service operator in the Fintech landscape.
“With Kashy, Tunisie Telecom confirms its ambition to play a central role in the country’s digital transformation and in the implementation of the national decashing strategy, by expanding its scope of action beyond its historical core business in order to transform itself from a connectivity operator to a service operator.” – Mr. Sofiene Hemissi, Chairman and CEO, Tunisie Telecom.
This development highlights Tunisie Telecom’s proactive approach to Fintech innovation, contributing to greater financial inclusion and convenience for Tunisian users through reliable mobile-based solutions.
