Trailblazers of Change: YALI Network Honorees Empower Over 10,000 Youths in Digital Technology Across Nigeria, Celebrated in Akwa Ibom

A wave of digital transformation swept through Uyo as the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Network Nigeria hosted its 2024 National Summit and International Youth Day Celebration; a dynamic convergence that spotlighted Nigeria’s brightest innovators and changemakers.

Held on August 23rd and 24th at Ibom Hall, the summit recognized young leaders whose groundbreaking innovations are reshaping Nigeria’s social and economic landscape. Each of the honorees, celebrated for their exceptional leadership and impact, has trained and mentored over 1,000 people individually in Digital Technology over the past two years, collectively empowering more than 10,000 youths across Nigeria with digital and entrepreneurial skills.

Joshua Aaron received the Digital Innovation & Leadership Achievement Award for his visionary drive in redefining technology’s future through strategic foresight and bold execution. His software company also provides SaaS-based CRM and automation solutions that support startups and businesses in streamlining operations and improving productivity.

Chidozie Felicitas Chiamaka was honored with the Digital Health Innovation Award for pioneering HealthSyn Nigeria, a transformative health-tech startup connecting patients with medical professionals online and strengthening healthcare accessibility nationwide.
Beyond healthcare, she also founded CredVerify NG, a groundbreaking certificate and credit score verification platform that promotes transparency, integrity, and financial trust across educational and employment sectors.

In governance, Ayoola Adetutu Oniyinde bagged the Digital Governance & Civic Innovation Award for Cadastra360, a groundbreaking platform revolutionizing property governance by enabling rapid, transparent land verification to combat fraud. She is also the brain behind MediTrust, a digital medical platform that enables seamless online doctor appointments and teleconsultations.

Similarly, Ifeoluwa Opeyemi Oladejo received the PropTech Security & Trust Innovation Award for VaultSoft Nigeria, a platform enhancing transparency and trust in real estate transactions. He is also the Founder of HTreasure Technology, a SaaS platform offering CRM, accounting, and email marketing software with integrated APIs, empowering small businesses to scale efficiently through digital tools.

Seun Paul Olatunji was celebrated with the Next Generation Techpreneur Award for Revolutionizing E-Voting and Digital Education, recognizing his innovative contributions through WeVoteYou and EFIKO NG, two platforms promoting civic engagement, transparent e-voting, and digital learning among young Nigerians.

Tope Omikunle earned the Digital Agri-Logistics Innovator Award for LogiPro, a solution streamlining agricultural supply chains to minimize post-harvest losses and enhance food security. He also founded LevyPal, a digital payment platform simplifying the process of paying road taxes and transportation fees for individuals and fleet operators nationwide.

Rounding off the list, Chinenye Peace Amaechi was honored with the Trailblazing Digital Innovator Advancing Career Empowerment Award for developing platforms that bridge the gap between academic knowledge and employability skills, equipping young Nigerians with practical digital competencies for the 21st-century job market.

All awardees were honored in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, in a colorful ceremony that underscored the power of innovation, mentorship, and youth leadership. Their consistent efforts over the years have empowered thousands of young Nigerians with practical skills in technology, business, and digital enterprise positioning them to thrive in the modern workforce.

Already, the ripple effect is evident, with many of their mentees now serving as FrontEnd Developers, Digital Marketing Executives, Data Visualization Analysts, and Technical Support Specialists across Nigeria’s evolving private sector.

By combining recognition with real impact, the YALI Network continues to establish itself as a catalyst for digital transformation, sustainable development, and youth empowerment across Africa.

The summit also featured insightful remarks from Comrade Ini Ememobong, Hon. Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Akwa Ibom State, who emphasized the importance of synergy between government and the private sector in nurturing youth led innovation.
